How to Create an Application ID in eBay

Creating a seller account on eBay is a straightforward process that requires some basic information about yourself and your business. Before you start selling, you need to register as an eBay seller account. In this article, we will guide you through the steps of creating an application ID in eBay.

To begin with, log in to your eBay account if you haven't already done so. If you don't have an account, create one by clicking on the 'Register' button at the top right corner of the page. After that, you can change your account type if necessary. Enter your telephone number and verify it by providing a one-time security code.

Once you've completed these steps, fill out the Sell your item form and click the Submit button. Enter the name of your item and click Get started. You will be redirected to the Sell your item form where you can list your item.

To access the Selling Overview page, open My eBay drop-down menu and select Selling once again. On this page, click the List an item button and follow the instructions to complete your listing.

After completing your listing, provide your contact information and select Continue. This will help you register your account as an eBay seller account. You will be automatically redirected to My eBay where you can manage your listings and sales.

When creating a client ID in eBay, you have two options: implicit flow or hybrid flow. If the client secret is not set, implicit flow is used and only an ID token is returned. However, if you use a client secret, hybrid flow is used and the App Service will return access and refresh tokens.

To generate your Application (client) ID, follow these steps:

1. Go to the app registration page and select 'Create an application'.

2. Choose a Personal or Business account, fill out the registration form and click Create account (or sign up using your Google, Facebook, or Apple account).

3. Once you've created your account, go back to the app registration page and copy the Application (client) ID.
